PRODUCT & WORKMANSHIP SUPPORT
Warranty
The difference between product-specific manufacturer cover and ACR installation or service workmanship support.
Manufacturer warranty
Manufacturer warranty periods and conditions differ by brand and product. The verified warranty shown on the individual product page takes precedence over general wording. Manufacturer support may require proof of purchase, model and serial details, correct installation, and servicing where those requirements are supported by the applicable manufacturer terms.
ACR does not apply one warranty period to every product. A longer manufacturer warranty is separate from statutory consumer rights and may be administered with the supplier or manufacturer.
Statutory product rights
Applicable South African consumer law includes an implied warranty of quality. For qualifying defective goods, the Consumer Protection Act provides remedies during the statutory period. These rights operate in addition to a manufacturer warranty and are not replaced by this policy.
ACR workmanship and service responsibility
ACR is responsible for installation or service work it performs with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed scope. A workmanship concern is assessed separately from an internal equipment or manufacturer defect. ACR may inspect the site and work before deciding the appropriate remedy.
Making a claim
Contact ACR with the order or invoice details, product model, serial number where available, installation date, a clear description of the issue and useful photographs or error information. Do not arrange unauthorised dismantling or repair where that could affect diagnosis or manufacturer cover.
Damage caused by misuse, external electrical or environmental conditions, unauthorised alteration, neglected maintenance or work outside ACR’s scope may fall outside a manufacturer or workmanship warranty, subject always to applicable law and the evidence for the claim.
Servicing and warranty conditions
Some manufacturer warranties require regular servicing or other documented conditions. Those requirements apply only where supported by the verified terms for the specific product. The product page or supplied warranty documentation should be checked rather than assuming one service rule applies to every brand.
